It's official!

On a tip from annieonline, I visited My Heritage, which she declared the "coolest site EVAR".

The site does photo matching in an attempt to identify long lost relative - an interesting idea. However, for their beta, they also have a celebrity matching thing that tells you which celebrities you look most like.

My matches were unremarkable, all less than 60%. One picture was a bit like Brendan Frasier. Two pictures were a bit like Tom Cruise. I've heard I look like both of them before. I also got a few low-level matches for Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith from the Matrix, Elrond from Lord of the Rings).

My wife has heard several times that she looks like Renee Zellweger but neither of us see it. However, the first time I ever saw my son entranced with the TV, it was when Renee Zellweger was on "Inside the Actor's Studio". On a whim I uploaded a generic picture of my wife to "My Heritage" and sure enough... her top match is Renee Zellweger (73%). I tried another picture. Again, the top match was Renee Zellweger (70%).

So it's official. While I do not look significantly like Tom Cruise (even ignoring height), I am married to a Renee Zellweger look-a-like. One that I kinda like. ;-)
